Midland Named 7th Safest Small City in America

Farmers Insurance has ranked the safest small cities in the United States and for the 4th straight year Midland has made the list.

Midland ranks the highest among small cities, those with a population of 150,000 or less, throughout Texas.

The study is based on a number of factors, including crime statistics, extreme weather, natural disaster risks, depreciation of housing and foreclosures, terror risks, environmental hazards, air quality, life expectancy and mortality rates based on illness and motor vehicle accidents, and unemployment rates.

Congratulations to the citizens of Midland, who make the city what it is.
